Water Parks of the Lone Star State

Texans are always looking for a way to beat the extreme summer heat. What better way than at a rip roaring Texas water park.

The wild west is much more than cowboys and horses, it is also about wicked water slides. Adventure Bay in Houston, is one of the state’s most popular attractions.

This infamous park boasts the Master Blaster, a crazy, uphill water coaster. The daredevil in the family can also ride the western-themed Gulf Screams Speed Slides, Rio Rapids and Slide Winders flumes. For those who want a more relaxing visit, they can slowly float down the Rio Lento lazy river.

The Lost Lagoon water park is located in the center of Texas. When visiting the historical city of San Antonio, take a trip to this park and the nearby SeaWorld. You can visit both attractions with one admission.

Lost Lagoon is a kid-friendly park which includes a Splash Attack play area, the Lil Gators Lagoon and inviting wave pools. The entire family can enjoy the day riding on the many water and body slides.

Visitors to the famous Six Flags Fiesta Texas amusement park can also go to the terrific Armadillo Beach water park. It is guaranteed you will get wet riding the many attractions including the family raft ride.

The park also has a unique water slide that encases anyone brave enough to tackle the adventure. Participants will spin and slide through the dark tunnels, not seeing daylight until they hit the pool below.

Schlitterbahn Beach on South Padre Island is a unique park surrounded entirely by water. Visitors move from one attraction to the other via the “Transpotainment.” They can float from one ride to another. Guests will maintain their cool all day under the hot Texas sun.

The great state of Texas is home to many memorable water parks. In the native land of tumbleweeds, cowboys and spurs, spending a day slipping down cool water slides and wading in inviting pools ensures a great way to beat the heat.
